I'm concerned ....

I really don't like these guys ...

Hmmm ....

This Woody guy is just too happy ...

Cleo's favorite

I was always Cleopatra's favorite. Marc preferred Jenkins. Cleo allowed me on the table to enjoy dinner with her and her friends. Jenkins had to wait and sometimes the poor boy didn't get anything at all. Marc was such an asp!

I was there ...

Chelsea called me a week before her wedding in a panic because she realized I had been left off the guest list. The poor dear was in tears. I told her not to worry and that I could alter my plans to attend. I insisted though that I would be the one to walk her down the isle. She was hesitant at first but we compromised and Bill was included.

Canoeing with "Poc"

Pocahontas was having a great time, she thoroughly enjoyed the canoe trip. I don't think Rocky the raccoon had a clue of where we were or what was going on. I was preoccupied with thoughts of ...

With the Mouseketeers

Walt called me last week to ask if I wanted to be in a group picture with the "Mouseketeers", Duh ... of course. They're the best. After the photo shoot we hung out and I talked with Walt about joining the group. His people are going to be calling my people sometime next week.

Me and "Gidget"

Having some time off from my busy schedule I decided to take Gidget up on her offer of a week of fun and sun. Though I was a little overdressed for a day on the waves I enjoyed hanging ten while "Gidge" was more interested in showing off for the boys.

I wish ...

Though I really like my Obama cap, those ears are something to die for. Perhaps I can work out a trade of some kind ....

On the bar

Being a level 7 gymnast I'm able to make up my own routines (within specific requirements).

I call this one the "Red Dog Flip". It requires me to run and jump, do 2 flips, grab the bar and then stand on one hand upside down.

I've nailed it only once and am hoping that this will be my second successful attempt.

My friend Andy

My friend Andy did a lot of famous paintings. The one of Marilyn is well known. The ones he did of Audrey and Che are also highly regarded. He told me though on one of our last dinner dates in NY that this one that he did of me was his favorite. He kept it in his bedroom to remind him of the times we spent together. He's such a dear.

Mom's friend

One of my Mom's best friends was graduating from High School. I went over to visit and wish her well.
She looked cute dressed up but given the occasion I think she might have been a little happier.
A smile might have been appropriate.

Oh my ...

After slurping up meat juices from the BBQ and getting more on me than in me I needed a bath.

I can't say I enjoyed it but, it's one of those things that is needed every once in awhile.

Whoa is me ...

Here's hooping

If I can get this ball to go one in before the other ball goes in we win the game and can advance to the finals. UCONN is out of the running so we really have a chance this year. Being my senior year if I miss this shot my playing days are over.

A magnificent view but ...

Henry offered to show me where he worked. I felt secure on his lap but being so high was a little unnerving.
The people on the street below looked like ants and all I could think of was being back on the street below with them.

I Can Fly ...

My first attempt at flight was a success. The guys who trained me said I was one of their better students. I'll catch on soon and will be soaring with the best. Any potential migrations though may have to wait until I get more air time.

Rainy Day In Paris

I was dressed in black. We had just come from a funeral and we were still in mourning. Bill's best friend had been run over by a bicycle. Our somber clothes match well the drizzle of the day. Later we plan to have a quiet dinner, toast our departed friend and then take in a show. Our spirits hopefully will improve.

Riding ...

Riding on the beach with Zira was a great way to spend a couple of hours. We talked about her views on Ape psychology and about how she had helped Taylor escape the Ape authorities.

Waiting ...

I don't know why I agreed to do this. I'm getting a little tired of just sitting here and waiting. For what I don't know. The sun is hot and the winds are continually blowing sand in my eyes. If something doesn't happen soon I think I'll take off and leave this duty to someone else, perhaps my brother ...

Family Outing

I have such a lovely family, but we just can't get any privacy. We went out the other day, just wanted to have a "normal" day doing errands, and the paparazzi just kept following us until I made a deal - "Look", I said, "We'll pose for one shot and then you guys leave us alone". I'm pretty happy with the result.

Whoa! wait a minute ...

Some of my friends invited me out for a day of fun. I was surprised at where we went, not knowing it would be a clothing optional venue. I was definitely over dressed and had no intention of getting painted like the other girls.

Flipper

Kayaking was great except for Flipper's constantly begging for food. Next time I'll make sure that Oscar brings something for the wild life.

Taking a break

My brother asked me if I wanted to see the sights with some of his friends while I was in town. I thought he had something else in mind.

American Gothic ...

My Mother kept saying that I should hook up with this guy because he was "rock solid", the "salt of the earth", someone who could take care of me.
He was nice, a little grumpy, but I'm concerned about how he plans to use his pitchfork.

In The Deep ...

Having recently read some books on deep sea diving and salvaging shipwrecks, I decided to give it a try. Traveling to Mystic, CT. to meet up with Dr. Ballard who discovered the Titanic I was excited. This diving suit fit me perfectly and after a 20 minute class in survival techniques I was ready to go. Next stop is the Black Sea where because of the lack of oxygen in the water any ancient artifacts should be better preserved.

Hey Guys look up ...

These guys are looking in the wrong place. There's danger from above in this neck of the woods. No matter how many times I tell them to look up, they still don't get it.

Halloween party

Last Halloween I went to a fab party and three of my friends dressed up like people! We all laughed and had a great time.

Welcoming the masses ...

When Frédéric choose me to be the model for his statue I was honored. The weekend we spent together must have left a lasting impression on him.
To be one of the first glimpses of the US for millions of immigrants after a long voyage is something I will cherish forever.

The Ride Down ...

I'm feeling a little concerned. There is a steep descent coming up and the "brakeman" in the back seems to be looking at the scenery and the "driver" in front seems a little casual. I don't know, but shouldn't they be doing something?

Reflections

Sitting in my study today with little to do and no plans.

Maybe I'll while away my time daydreaming about what might have been.

I hear something buzzing above me, I look up ...

Flyfishing

While visiting with my good friend Winslow Homer recently in New England I had a chance to show off my skills with a fly casting rig. Winslow was so impressed that he insisted that I hold this pose so he could sketch it. He then offered to make dinner for us, Dory was willing as long as she wasn't on the menu.

Huh ???

Reading through the NY Times the other day I came across this.

WASHINGTON — Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal, the leader of American and NATO forces in Afghanistan, was shown a PowerPoint slide in Kabul last summer that was meant to portray the complexity of American military strategy, but looked more like a bowl of spaghetti.

“When we understand that slide, we’ll have won the war,” General McChrystal replied.

Yikes, if that's true, things don't look so good ... however, I do like spaghetti ...

I'm On My Way

After hearing a commotion below I look down to see my brother coming into view. He's making more of an effort and doing a little better than I expected. Perhaps my initial thoughts of him really slowing down the ascent were a little premature and hopefully our 4 day target to climb the "Nose" can be met.

Waiting ...

Usually when I go on a trip with my brother I spend a good amount of time waiting for him.

This trip was no exception.

We traveled to Yosemite to climb El Capitan. Here I sit on a ledge 900 feet up waiting for him.

At this rate it will take more than a week to make the climb.

Sailing

I was really excited about the America's Cup race until I saw my crew! First of all, they were a little short for the job and fresh out of the forest. They didn't know the first thing about sailing and they kept asking "where"s Snow? where's Snow?" until I thought I'd go crazy!

Posing ...

"My son, James, asked me to pose for him in 1871. I'll do anything for my son, I really will, but I've been sitting like this now for a long time. I hope he finishes the painting soon; I'm getting just a little tired." Luckily I have a picture of my brothers and sister to look at for inspiration.

Wonderfull day but ...

What a glorious day, the clouds are amazing. I've been busy lately with my adventures so I'm taking a break to have some "Me" time. Somehow though, I can't shake the feeling that something's going to happen.

While in Patagonia

On my last trip to Patagonia I hung out with an old friend of mine from the early days, Guido, a wind-burned gaucho who trains gnarly dogs that chase and herd long-tailed sheep. Here I am in this picture helping Guido train the dogs by showing them how to keep the sheep from going through the fence behind me. Chip, the lead dog, was off and running after a stray, so I had a hard time keeping his attention. I'm not sure dogs are really right for this job, but they seem to like running and they don't charge much. Guido helped me out by handling my horse for me while I got down on the ground with the dogs.

Ice Bound ...

Well, after many attempts I finally made it to the South Pole. It took years of planning and I had to use some money from my trust fund. I must say though that it isn't what I expected. The penguins are numerous, aggressive and unusually large, probably from chowing down on burgers and fries. Looks like I'll be here for awhile as my ship got stuck in the ice. I'm a little concerned that the penguin eying me may be thinking I'm his next meal.

Penny In The Sky

John was going to name the song Penny In The Sky With Diamonds, but we had a major fight just before it was recorded. The real secret, though, is this ... if you play "I Am The Walrus" backwards, it says, "Penny is beautiful, Penny is beautiful" over and over again. Try it!

On The Trail

I spent weeks training for this race, making sure that all was in order. I practiced saying "mush, mush" many times. Everyone was excited and raring to go except for ... what a stick in the mud! I should have known better, he just didn't seem to be "into it" like the other guys. Maybe I can trade him in for a dog at the next rest stop.

I Can Only Hope

Wow, I think I went to the wrong tea party recently in Boston.

Some guys were wearing weird wigs and many of the 3,000-5,000 people who attended seemed really angry.

Worst of all... there wasn't any tea!

Do you think if I let go of these balloons the hot air will make them pop? or, they will float away and disappear?

Stuck, Once Again

With Jenkins it's always something. He wanted to drive to the mall so we could go shopping. I said, "fine, just make sure we have gas". Obviously he didn't, we ran out of gas, and got stuck by the side of the road. I sat on the hood trying to flag down other drivers for help. No one stopped! Finally, Loxy came to our rescue. I'm thinking of making Jenkins walk back home. I'm sure we will laugh about this later, but, for now, I just want to get home, clean up, have some dinner, and chill on Facebook.

Jenkins of Arabia

My brother, Jenkins, suffers from a case of "wanderlust". He often is taking off at a moment's notice. I just received this picture of him somewhere in the Sahara desert in Africa. Apparently, there is talk of remaking the classic 1962 movie "Lawrence of Arabia"and he is anxious to try out for the lead part. I think his chances of landing the role are slim but, maybe he can get the supporting role as Lawrence's "friend".

Hot Air Balloon Ride

It’s seldom that we as a family can get together with our friends, the Griffin’s and the Simpson’s, so we grab the chance whenever there's an opportunity to do so. For our balloon trip, Fee-Fee even flew in from Peru where she has been leading expeditions along the Inca Trail and I, for one, was very glad to see her. The saucy redhead is a friend of Bart's. Jenkins, as usual with his hang-dog look, was upset because Peter was in charge of the gas jets.

Abbey Road

John, stop, please wait ... don't keep walking while I'm standing here trying to get your attention. That evening with Keith didn't mean anything. Help! I saw you standing there! I love you, yeah, yeah, yeah! Hey, you can't hide your love away! I want to hold your hand! Give love a chance! (BTW, I'm better looking than Yoko.)

Walking the Space Walk

As promised here it is, I got my chance, here I am outside of the Space Station making a minor repair. What an adventure, one I will never forget. I'm sure my brother Jenkins is envious.

Finally "Space"

Finally, after years of hard work and having my family pull strings I graduated from the NASA Space Program. My flight is scheduled for next month to bring supplies to the Space Station and I get to be the pilot. Wow ...

The other guys on the flight are envious of me because I will be staying on the Space Station for 2 months to make repairs. Stay tuned, I'll send a picture of my first space walk.

My "Beast"

All my friends thought I was crazy to date Jim. They were petty and called him "Beast". I liked him just the way he was, though he claimed to have been a handsome prince earlier in his life. After an elegant and lavish dinner, Jim and I tripped the light fantastic at the Cotillion Ball. Though he is sweet and makes an effort, his dancing leaves much to be desired. I know from past experiences that my feet will be sore in the morning. I can not refuse him though, I'm putty in his hands.

High Wire Act

I don't know what happened! I couldn't sleep last night so I just took a little something and then I woke up in my nightgown on a tightrope with two waiters from an Italian restaurant! I hope they know what they're doing. I wish they'd brought their accordions.

Divided! ...

Photobucket
The nation's founders warned strenuously against the rise of political parties, but they arose anyway. If GW could see the gridlock that exists today in American Politics he would be appalled. Hopefully something can be done to insure that politicians work together for the betterment of all, instead of themselves, and their special interests.
